The (impressive) numbers of the fossil fuel age

Questo post è disponibile anche in: Italian

How much fossil fuel has been extracted since you arrived at this page? Or since you were born? The british newspaper the Guardian has developed a new interactive tool that shows how much fossil fuel the world is extracting right now – and how much it has been in the past.

“The numbers highlight the staggering amount of oil, coal and gas we take out of the ground – and how quickly change is needed”.

The tool also promotes the Guardian’s climate change campaign, Keep it in the ground, which is calling on two of the world’s biggest charitable funds to divest from fossil fuels.
